TGV™ - THE REFERENCE IN HIGH SPEED LAND TRAVEL

ALSTOM is the world leader in high speed trains, with over 500 TGV trains in service in France, Spain, Belgium, UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy and soon in South Korea. Designed to operate at speeds up to and beyond 300 km/hr, TGV trains carry each year more than 40 million passengers throughout most of Western Europe.

The distinctive articulated trainset concept (two coaches per bogie) allows speed and capacity to be increased, whilst enhancing safety for passengers and drivers.

The TGV family provides modular and flexible trains which have been service-proven throughout Europe. Moreover, TGV high speed technology has consistently been chosen by operators beyond Europe for high speed projects. TGV trains are constantly being improved - in particular to provide more capacity and more speed.

The X’TRAPOLIS™ family of vehicles is the solution for fast-growing cities and suburbs. It offers high capacity transport at a low cost, moving more commuters faster and further. With capacities per train equivalent to 2000 single occupant trains, X’TRAPOLIS™ is an excellent means of reducing traffic congestion in large urban centres. This is the first suburban train that can be fitted to any track gauge and supply voltage in the world.
