Norwegian state-owned train leasing company Norske tog AS (NT) has selected Trimble E2M engineering asset and maintenance management system to handle rolling stock data.
The use of the system will offer NT and other Norwegian rail franchises a complete overview of essential data concerning rail assets. The E2M system will also provide details about the maintenance programme and history of rail assets.

NT technical director Luca Cuppari said: “Trimble E2M will help to maintain and improve the reliability and safety of rail vehicles that NT owns and leases.
“E2M will streamline the flow of digital asset data through the rail vehicle lifecycle for both NT and the franchisee train operating companies.”
The rail asset data will optimise maintenance work schedules, update technical documentation and maintenance programmes, and ensure that its rolling stock fleet fulfils government and regulatory agency requirements.
