NJ Transit officials have announced the reopening of the concourse at Hoboken Terminal in New Jersey, which was closed for repairs following a fatal train crash last year.
The open concourse was closed with a temporary green wall after the incident that occurred in September, which saw the concourse damaged after an NJ Transit train hit the barrier at the end of track 5.
The incident claimed the life of one person and injured 114 others.
Hoboken Terminal's refurbishment will provide passengers with more pedestrian pathways, reported Nj.com.
It will also reconnect the customer access pathways between tracks 1-4 and track 7.
Patch.com reported that concourse was originally scheduled to reopen next month, but has since been completed before schedule.

The National Transportation Safety Board conducted an investigation into the accident and concluded that the train was traveling at nearly double the designated speed limit when the incident took place.
All repairs and renovations at the station are slated for completion by the middle of 2019, with the concourse set to remain open for the duration of the remaining works.
NJ Transit officials also stated that the green barriers will continue to barricade the temporary roof over the concourse across all its support structures.
Hoboken Terminal is located in the Hudson County of New Jersey, and is currently served by nine NJ Transit commuter rail lines.
It is also a major transportation hub for the wider New York metropolitan area.
