UK-based rail operator Cross Country has unveiled a new mobile ‘Train Tickets’ application that allows passengers to buy and receive m-tickets directly to their mobile phones.
Through the new application, users can activate m-tickets before their journey, which are then saved in a ticket wallet within the application.
The app also integrates real-time departure and journey information to keep customers informed on the move.
Users of the app can show the mobile ticket to the train manager on their phones, and do not have to queue for tickets or to worry about losing tickets.
The ‘Train Tickets’ app has been developed by Masabi and supports iPhone, Blackberry, Android and Nokia smartphones as well as most other everyday handsets.
