Technology company CoSMo and France-based Alstom have collaborated to develop a new application to improve the efficiency of global rail systems.
Intended to raise the global standard for operations optimisation, the application will allow operators to consider the entirety of their rail services.
It will be based on CoSMo’s software platform.
With the combination of Alstom’s experience in rail operations and technologies and CoSMo’s asset investment optimisation and decision management background, the application is intended to deliver value for rail system owners and infrastructure managers worldwide.
Alstom systems vice-president Eric Marie said: “Thanks to its large number of urban integrated systems projects under execution worldwide, Alstom has a strong experience in optimising transport solutions.
“The development to be carried out in partnership with CoSMo will allow us to reinforce our simulation competencies and optimise the lifecycle of our systems for the benefit of our customers.”
