It was part of an order for ten locomotives placed in December 2018.

In the last two decades, more than 2,300 TRAXX locomotives have been sold, achieving an annual mileage of 300,000,000km.

The locomotives are also authorised to run in 20 nations across the globe.

In 2015, Railpool placed a $82m order with Bombardier to deliver 18 TRAXX Multi-System (MS) and TRAXX AC last mile locomotives.

These locomotives increased Railpool’s fleet to a total of 183 vehicles.

Similarly, in 2014, Bombardier was contracted to deliver 65 TRAXX trains to Railpool as part of a framework agreement between the two firms.

Worth €250m, the delivery included the first call-off of 35 locomotives and an option of up to 30 additional units.
