The approved grant completed the state’s share of funding for a $358.9m federal grant which will allow the state to acquire Norfolk Southern Corp’s Kalamazoo-Dearborn segment of the Chicago-Detroit Wolverine Corridor.

As a part of $398.1m grants, about $20.45m funding was secured from local and private funding.
