The investment has added new manufacturing equipment and expanded the plant in Hayange, in the Lorraine region, which previously produced rails up to 80m long.

The investment at Hayange plant will increase the production capacity from 3t to 3.4t a year, the company said.

According to the company, the 108m line will reduce the maintenance costs of rail operators and help them to provide passengers with a smoother ride.
