"Expansion of Suzhou’s urban-mass transit system will provide better transport facilities for its growing population."

The €15m order covers the supply of the Siemens trainguard MT automatic-train control system, as well as trackguard sicas ECC electronic interlockings and the airlink radio-transmission system.

Trainguard MT enables optimised train sequencing in line with passenger volumes, and maximises the subway’s safety, reliability and availability.

An integrated automatic train operation (ATO) system will allow for automatic and energy-efficient running, while the airlink ensures that data is continuously transferred between the metro line and the train.
