Siemens has received the second order from Sweden-based rail transport firm Hector Rail for supply of 15 Vectron alternating-current (AC) locomotives.

Equipped with the European train control system (ETCS) and the ATC2-STM train control system, the locomotives will have a maximum output of 6,400kW and a top speed of 200km/h.

The locomotives include a diesel power module and radio remote control on-board to bridge short stretches without overhead power lines.
