Federal Mogul Systems Protection - Sleeving SolutionsThe railway industry presents challenges for the protection of wiring, wire harnesses, tubing, hoses and mechanical assembly. Federal Mogul Systems Protection meets these challenges with innovative sleeving solutions. Our offer ranges from an extensive array of products made from braiding, weaving and knitting technologies to new applications of material, design and process. The following are the products best suited for this industry for which a datasheet and a test report is available upon request. EXPANDO TCP-VOExpandable braided sleeve manufactured from modified polyester monofilaments classified VO according to UL 94, which offer excellent flame retardant properties. It is designed for mechanical protection and maintenance of wire and cable bundles, including:
ROUNDIT 2000 FR AND ROUNDIT 2000 V0Roundit 2000 FR features a wrap-around design and is manufactured from flame-retardant polyester monofilaments and textured polyester yarns. Roundit 2000 VO features UL 94 V0 rated polyester monofilaments. Booth sleeves are designed for mechanical protection and maintenance of wire and cable bundles. Their self-wrapping feature allows for quick and easy installation and removal for assembly and maintenance.
GESBraided fibreglass sleeve with a silicone rubber coating designed to provide electrical insulation for 4kV or 10kV dielectric strength. The high flexibility of GES allows easy installation.
THERMOTUBIXThickwall braided fibreglass sleeving coated with a specially compounded, flame retardant silicone rubber. Thermotubix Aerospace offers an effective protection against sustained high temperatures and flames that can seriously damage electrical cables and hydraulic, gas and lubricant supply lines.
INSULATING COMPOSITESUsed on the TGV locomotives as contact holders - Composite Isolating made of fibreglass and Epoxy resin, produced by a moulding in vacuum – dielectric strength is 11,900V.
