Rail-Fed Bogie/Truck Cleaning Systems

Washing system

The PROCECO automatic bogie washer cleans locomotive or rail car bogies moving on their own wheels, truck frames without wheels, or other components loaded onto a trolley. During the wash cycle, a spray manifold surrounds the four sides of the stationary truck and travels back and forth the entire length of the part to ensure complete cleaning of all surfaces.

The part is sprayed with a high volume of pressurised, hot cleaning solution made of water and a small quantity of detergent to remove oils, grease, road dirt and other contaminants from component surfaces. An additional rinse stage can be added to complement the cleaning cycle. The cleaning solution is recirculated for re-use to preserve water, detergents, and energy.

The cleaning process is completed in a short cycle time and requires no labor except for loading and unloading.
