PCTEL has announced the launch of a new antenna that brings together precision multi-constellation GNSS with high-performance LTE, sub-6 GHz 5G, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Called as the Coach II antenna with GNSS L1/L2/L5, it is intended to offer enhanced precision and reliability for advanced rail communications systems, thereby enabling everything from next-generation Positive Train Control (PTC) to passenger Wi-Fi.

Incorporating an IP67 rated design, the new antenna offers dual port 4G LTE / sub-6 GHz 5G NR; 802.11ac Wi-Fi / Bluetooth connectivity and is AAR-compliant for railway applications.

PCTEL will showcase its Coach II antenna with GNSS L1/L2/L5 from 22 to 24 September at the RSSI C&S Exhibition in Minneapolis, Minnesota, US.
