ContiTech Railway Engineering supports the Polish rail vehicle industry with ultra-modern suspension systems for the primary and secondary suspension as well as with rubber-to-metal bonded parts for rail vehicles. The company will be presenting itself at the TRAKO 2011 in Gdansk from October 11 to 14 – at a booth shared with its Polish representative TransComfort (hall 5/booth 12).

ContiTech Railway Engineering’s presentation will focus on ultramodern air suspension systems for primary and secondary suspension. MEGI®-brand hydro springs, leaf and conical springs, bushings and buffers will also be on show.

ContiTech Railway Engineering has a close relationship with the Polish rail vehicle market. Together with TransComfort, ContiTech developed the bogie and superstructure suspension for the new Warsaw SWING streetcar, as well as other products.

MEGI brand bumpers, transverse bumpers, links and pivots from ContiTech are used in vehicles made by the manufacturer PESA. The suspension system of the electric ELF rail vehicle is also a joint achievement of ContiTech, PESA and TransComfort.

Air spring systems from ContiTech suspend the vehicle body; links, transverse bumpers, bumpers and pivots of the MEGI brand are used on the bogie. The latest project in Poland is the suspension system for the Link regional train, which is to be delivered starting in September 2012 and is to be used for regional traffic.
