KEYMILE to Showcase Secure Solutions with Exceptional Availability for Mission-Critical Rail Communication at InnoTrans 2016

InnoTrans in Berlin is the leading international trade show for transport technology. KEYMILE will use the occasion to present its product range for secure and smooth migration of railway communications to the IP world. A live showcase will demonstrate the network scenarios and applications.

KEYMILE is a leading provider of solutions for mission-critical networks and a recognised expert in railway communications. At InnoTrans from 20 to 23 September 2016 in hall 7.1a and on stand 204, KEYMILE will present solutions for efficient and secure operation of railways companies’ telecommunications networks. This year the focus is on cyber security and in particular KEYMILE’s new SECU1 encryption card for the hybrid XMC20 multi-service-access and transmission platform.

While the telecom sector consolidation and the move towards IP mean that product portfolios evolve at lightning speed, KEYMILE differentiates itself with a stable portfolio of products with a 20-year lifecycle or more. This matches perfectly rail customers’ own projects and technology lifecycles.

KEYMILE products are ultra-robust. The XMC20 can operate in fanless mode due to its low power consumption, making it extremely economical to maintain.

With its unique focus on the railway market, KEYMILE still maintains legacy technologies while offering packet technologies at the same time. The XMC20 offers out of one chassis a large set of legacy interfaces and transmission technologies such as PDH / SDH, suitable for GSM-R and LTE safety applications together with a path to the future with end-to-end encrypted packet technologies such as MPLS-TP parallel to the railways network evolution.

KEYMILE sees high-quality encryption as a must without compromising the reliability and availability of the railway systems. KEYMILE focuses on the provisioning of cyber-secure transmission solutions carrying critical safety data in an emerging packet transport environment, using quantum physics, strongly backed-up by R&D and manufacturing done solely in Germany and Switzerland.
