Mark Tailby brings nearly 35 years’ experience in the steel door and security locks industry to his new position as product manager, High Security Locking responsible for Pickersgill-Kaye’s renowned range of high-security multipoint locks and the heavy duty perimeter gate lock range.

Group managing director Peter Murphy said: "Mark was with Adams Rite Europe, who originally distributed the Pickersgill-Kaye High Security Multipoint Locking Systems. He was actively involved in the conception and launch of the product range and spent three years promoting the product in the security door market.

"His industry knowledge will be of great benefit to us and our customers as we continue to develop our business within the high security sector."

Following his appointment, Mr Tailby added: "I’m delighted to be joining Pickersgill-Kaye.

"Its products have a long-standing reputation for performance, strength, security and durability, which provides me with an excellent platform for taking the High Security Locking range forward.

"Pickersgill-Kaye has a very bright future, not only in high-security locking that I’m responsible for but also in the rail and custodial sectors as well. The fact that products are manufactured in-house is a tremendous advantage, whilst the team’s expertise and engineering experience makes the company very appealing to the marketplace."

Available in both surface-mounted and mortice versions, Pickersgill-Kaye’s portfolio of single and multipoint locks are manufactured entirely in the UK to the highest technical standards and aesthetically designed to complement the modern workplace.

The range of locks, bolts and fittings has been specifically developed to meet exacting standards of physical attack but maintain safe and easy exit. The products are manufactured to the highest specifications and tested to European BS EN standards for panic and emergency exit, as well as undergoing independent blast testing, cycle testing in excess of one million cycles and being fire tested, to BS EN standards, as part of a secure doorset.

Pickersgill-Kaye’s locks are designed on state-of-the-art CAD software and are subjected to extensive and challenging testing on key operation, lock construction and overall durability and resistance to attack, in order to satisfy the operational requirements of national and international market sectors. Approvals include certification to LPS 1175 Issue 7 Levels SR3 and SR4 and government standards.

Mr Tailby’s appointment follows significant investment by parent company, Joseph Kaye Holdings Group, on new computer equipment, software and training designed to streamline the firm’s entire data operations, from manufacturing to administration and customer service.
