DC Airco has redesigned their rail air conditioners to meet the new EN 45545-2-2013 HL1 and HL2 standards (HL3 with advanced engineering) for new EU projects.
The new EN 45545-2 standard for fire and fumes is challenging and replacing national legislations, such as NF16-101-F2, BS 6853 and DIN 5510/2
The idea behind it is to prevent fires started by crazy passengers (above) or technical sources.
