HBM’s new MX840A 8-channel universal amplifier, for the QuantumX system, supports up to 15 different transducer types per channel at an attractive price.

This amplifier supports strain gages and inductive transducers in full and half bridge configuration, voltage and current, resistive transducers, all common thermocouple types, rotary encoders, one input for CANbus and many others.

All eight inputs provide a 24-bit analog-to-digital converter, synchronized data acquisition and are electrically isolated to ensure high measurement accuracy.

Because of the MX840A’s universality and using Advanced Plug & Measure (APM), the TEDS transducers and sensors automatically configure the channel. This means minimal setup times in daily operation and thus efficiency and increased quality. If no TEDS is used, a comprehensive and open sensor database is available.

Ethernet TCP/IP and automatic configuration allow for easy and fast connection to the PC. The comprehensive software package comprises free QuantumX-assistant packages and libraries for integration into LabView® or programming environments such as Visual Studio .NET for programmers.

QuantumX provides excellent flexibility which enables users to find solutions to many different measurement and testing tasks. Typical fields of application include automated testing of system components, mobile measurement data acquisition, long-term monitoring or laboratory applications.
