Mont-Ele – DC Traction Substation

The transportable prefabricated DC traction substations for railway supply are designed and built to satisfy any temporary feeding due to revamping or extension works in other substations or line sections.

The DC traction substations in prefabricated boxes are designed and built for easy transportation.

In case of need, they can be divided in two prefabricated boxes, so that each box size, can allow a transportation that do not need special permissions.

The civil works needed to install the electrical substation are reduced and include a concrete basement, in case of some years duration, or salvages sleepers located under the basement of the boxes, in case of short duration. The prefabricated boxes have special structure, designed and built for being lifted together with equipment and connections, without deformation, without using a special frame.
