Sqills has been selected by OUIBUS, after an extensive market analysis and RFP process, to replace their existing legacy system.

OUIBUS (formally known as iDBUS), a SNCF Group subsidiary, is another new and important Sqills customer following Irish Rail earlier this year. These customers have selected the S3 Passenger suite because of its rich functionalities and ‘off the shelf’ availability.

Roland de Barbantane, OUIBUS general manager said: "As a result of the repositioning of OUIBUS, offering inexpensive holidays and high-quality travel across 46 European destinations, we need to replace our complete distribution system with minimal development efforts, to better manage our customer’s needs at lower distribution costs and easier back office processes for our staff."

Isabelle André, OUIBUS IT manager said: "The main target of the project is to replace the current IT systems to improve system management on those points which we consider critical for the company’s future development. This includes a complete replacement of the current inventory, pricing, sales and distribution software. The Sqills SAAS solution ‘S3 Passenger’ was chosen because of its innovative nature, functional match, improved time to market thanks to the optimisation of current processes, off the shelf availability and scalability in full alignment with OUIBUS’s objectives and system requirements."

Internationally, Sqills is recognised as the product leading software supplier for sales and distribution software solutions for (long distance) bus and rail operators. The S3 Passenger sales and distribution system comprises of revenue management, booking engine, seat reservation system, inventory management system, pricing engine, CRM front-end and booking office, and handheld validation solutions.

Alexander Mul, Sqills board member said:"This OUIBUS contract, and established contacts within the SNCF Group, are an important step forward in our S3 Passenger software sales and on-going international expansion. We are proud to have won the tender process and are looking forward to work closely with the OUIBUS team to deliver our S3 Passenger sales & distribution platform."
