Both companies will work with MyHSR to assess the proposed alterations to the high-speed project, as well as identify additional cost reduction options for Malaysia.

Malaysian multi-disciplinary engineering and project management firm Minconsult will act as TAC and focus on the engineering aspects of the project. It will review and validate proposed changes to the infrastructure design, including alignment, stations and train maintenance facilities.

EY will act as CAC and evaluate commercial aspects, including economic benefits of the high-speed project, development of new business models, identify funding options and updating the ridership forecast.

MyHSr CEO Dato’ Mohd Nur Ismal Bin Mohamed Kamal said: “The appointment of TAC and CAC is a major step in the effort to develop an affordable KL-SG HSR.
