Incorporated with a fully automated driverless system, the rolling stock will be used on a new 19.7km-long metro line with 16 stations on the Asian side of Istanbul.

IMM’s metro line will link inland residential area Çekmeköy with the coastal area of Üsküdar, allowing passengers to travel directly to the other metro line at the Marmaray Tunnel, which crosses the Bosporus.

IMM also plans to build 20 new metro lines in the country, in order to enhance its mass transit system and reduce traffic congestion. It is expected to operate 2,500 train sets on the proposed metro lines.

Delivery of the rolling stock is expected to take place between 2016 and 2017.
