Israel-based Oran Safety Glass (OSG) has secured a contract from German transport logistics CN-Consult for its ScreeneX window technology to be used in the latter’s InnoScreen overhead displays, which will be installed on train platforms across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The deal marks OSG’s first sale of its ScreeneX window, to be deployed in rail stations this year.

ScreeneX uses high-resolution LCD screens embedded in insulated, laminated or tempered glass, which can be used in signs, partitions, vehicle doors and windscreens.
In order to improve the passenger experience, tailored real-time data and information can be programmed via the accompanying digital content server, in addition to creating a new platform for advertising revenue.
The company noted that ScreeneX windows are designed for long-term use in public spaces and vehicles and resistant to extreme vibration and temperatures, in addition to being tamper-proof.
OSG CEO Daniel Cohen said: "It’s an ideal use of the technology, keeping European rail passengers up to date with timetables, safety alerts, weather and news updates."
