French rail network operator Reseau Ferre de France has received three bids for the $4.8bn high-speed rail line from Le Mans to Rennes.

The firms include telecom conglomerate Bouygues , construction and concession company Eiffage and construction company Vinci .

The winning consortium will be finalised next year, and the line linking Bretagne with Pays de Loire valley will be complete by 2014-15, according to Reuters .

The project includes building a 214km-long section of track, which will cut the journey time between Paris and Rennes from 2h to 90min.
