Under the deal, Thales will supply its SelTrac Communications-Based Train Control system for the metro line.

Alcatel-Lucent, through its Chinese subsidiary lcatel-Lucent Shanghai Bell, will provide network integration, consulting, design and engineering services.

The companies will work as part of the consortium with Beijing Hua-Tie Information Technology Development, under a contract with state-owned Beijing MTR Corporation.
