Nearly 23km of track reconstruction has been completed on the Mandal-Davaany rail line, a ongoing joint project between Russian rail operator RZD and Mongolian railways.

The project includes renovating 108km of the upper portion of the rail line from Mandal to Davaany in Mongolia, which is owned by JSC Ulan-Bator Railways.

Each country will reconstruct 54km of track under the agreement.

The line overhaul is part of the railway infrastructure development project between the two countries to promote economic growth in Mongolia.
