SNCB, Belgium’s national rail firm, will launch two real-time information services to tell commuters of possible train delays, cancellation or deviations via SMS or the internet.

The My Train Info service is free of charge for commuters, who will automatically receive real-time information regarding train delays via SMS or by logging on to the my.live.com website.

In addition, a second service allows passengers to send questions via SMS with queries about rail times and delays.

The two services will be accessible only in Belgium and be available from September 2009, after being tested in June or July.
