TrainFX has won a contract from UK-based London and North Western Railway (LNWR ) to provide a real-time passenger information system for the Class 158 Diesel Multiple Unit fleet operated by Arriva Trains Wales and owned by Angel.

The system offers a dual language option and complies with the new European standards in providing real-time information both to and from the train.

The on-board system is expected to inform train passengers of any journey disruptions en route and on connecting routes.

Car units will receive a system comprising forward and saloon displays and an integrated audio system, cab to cab communications, PA and automated announcements, calls for aid and other crew communications.
