Société du Grand Paris in France has awarded contracts management worth €700m for the construction works on North lines 14, 16 and 17 of the Grand Paris Express.

For the construction of stations in these lines, Société du Grand Paris has awarded a contract to Elizabeth & Christian de Portzamparc (AECDP) for the Le Bourget station, while RER team Miralles Tagliabue and Bordas + Peiro has been selected for Clichy-Montfermeil station.

The company to be assigned to build the Saint-Denis Pleyel station will be confirmed in later this month.

Two groups led by EGIS Rail have been awarded contracts for project management studies, civil engineering works and other facilities for the lines.

"The award of these contracts will generate significant activity in the areas of engineering and architecture for an amount of €200m."

Among them, one group will work on the Noisy-Champs / Le Bourget RER section, while the other one is on Bourget RER / Saint-Denis Pleyel / Mairie de Saint-Ouen section.

Société du Grand Paris CEO Philippe Yvin said: "Just weeks after the investment authorisation passed by our supervisory board, the Société du Grand Paris undertakes studies of draft lines North 14, 16 and 17 south of the Grand Paris Express.

"Again this year, the award of these contracts will generate significant activity in the areas of engineering and architecture for an amount of €200m."

Led by EGIS Rail, the group of Tractebel Engineering and architectural firms will work on the section between Noisy-Champs at the Gare du Bourget RER.

A consortium led by EGIS Rail and composed of Tractebel Engineering and architecture firm Chartier Dalix will work on the second section and build the Courneuve station.

Operation Artemis group will lead these two groups of project management, as well as bring Artelia and co-contractors Arcadis and BG Consulting Engineers together.

Arcadis and BG are responsible for assistance with project management and general conduct operation.
