GE Transportation will launch its PowerHaul series locomotive at the International Trade Fair for Transport Technology 2010 trade show in Berlin, Germany. The company said the locomotive includes a 16-cylinder 3,700GHP PowerHaul engine, which can reduce fuel consumption and emissions

GE Transportation will launch its PowerHaul series locomotive at the International Trade Fair for Transport Technology 2010 trade show in Berlin, Germany.

The company said the locomotive includes a 16-cylinder 3,700GHP PowerHaul engine, which can reduce fuel consumption and emissions by about 9%.

The locomotive has advanced dynamic braking, easy-to-read gauges, dual air-conditioning with an ergonomically designed cab.

The PowerHaul series is also compliant with EU Stage IIIa emissions standards and features a flexible platform that can adapt to local requirements.
