The UK’s London Underground has launched its first air-conditioned S-Stock train.
The eight-car train, which runs between Wembley Park and Watford, is the first of a fleet of 191 trains that will replace London Underground’s sub-surface fleet.
Built by Bombardier Transportation, the train sets will run on the Metropolitan line.
Roll-out across the line is expected to be completed by 2011, according to mayorwatch.co.uk, followed by the Circle and Hammersmith & City lines in 2012 and the District line in 2013.
