The UK's Network Rail has appointed CCD as part of its £500m ($745m) King's Cross Redevelopment Project.

CCD is expected to work with the project team to ensure human factors on infrastructure schemes and define a safety structure for the railway industry.

The project is expected to last a year after the preliminary two-month consultation.

King's Cross Station is being tranformed to include a bigger concourse, new shops and restaurants, and improved access to other services.

CCD's assignment includes work on the Eastern Range building, the main train shed roof, the main train shed platforms and overbridge.

CCD uses its knowledge of how people engage with their environment to design better, user-centred spaces and products for the transport sector, according to the company.
