Invensys Rail Commissions Double Tracking Project in Malaysia

Invensys Rail has commissioned the first phase of the Seremban to Gemas Double Tracking Project, which will allow a suburban passenger service to run to Sungai Gadut. Phase I of the project includes modification and extension of Seremban station, a new station and interlocking at Sungai

Invensys Rail has commissioned the first phase of the Seremban to Gemas Double Tracking Project, which will allow a suburban passenger service to run to Sungai Gadut.

Phase I of the project includes modification and extension of Seremban station, a new station and interlocking at Sungai Gadut, and a 10km block section between stations.

The project forms part of the Malaysian Government’s MYR3.45bn ($1.1bn) Seremban-Gemas double tracking and electrification project.

The project is scheduled for completion in December 2012.
