A joint venture of Costain and Skanska has won a £35m ($56.5m) contract for advance civil engineering works at Bond Street in London, UK, under the Crossrail programme.

The project will involve construction of two station box structures along with a western ticket hall and an eastern ticket hall to provide surface access to the platform tunnels.

The construction work is expected to start immediately and scheduled to be completed by 2012.

This contract is the third Crossrail contract won by the Costain-Skanska JV.
