Stadler Pankow and Veolia Verkehr Regio have secured a €200m ($278.5m) contract for the supply of 35 FLIRT electric multiple-unit trains in E-Netz Rosenheim rail network in Bavaria, Germany.
The contract consists of seven three-carriage trains, which are 59m long and can seat 158 passengers as well as 28 six-carriage trains, which measure 107m and can seat 333 passengers.
The fleet will cover cross-border services on the Munich–Rosenheim–Salzburg, Munich–Rosenheim–Kufstein and Rosenheim–Holzkirchen–Munich lines from December 2013.
The trains can run at a maximum speed of 160km/hr.
