Grau Elektronik Presents its DDB Converters for Railway Applications

In many cases an independent voltage source, beside the on-board battery, will be needed to start a control system inside trains, locos, trams, and E-buses.
The High Voltage Auxiliary Converter (HVAC) can be used to provide electronic systems with stabilised 24V, 72V or 110V from an high voltage overhead line supply when the on-board system battery is flat (discharged). The HVACs are able to transform a high voltage DC voltage, such as 1,500V, to a lower voltage, such as 24V. HVACs serve as auxiliary voltage power supplies with galvanic isolation between the HV input and LV output side.
