K and G Machinery Sell Two Narrow Gauge Ballast Regulators to WO Trackworks

K and G Machinery has announced the sale of two Narrow Gauge 1,067mm Harsco BE-QR Ballast Regulators.

These machines were originally owned by Queensland Rail and then Aurizon and based in Rockhampton QLD. After negotiations, we purchased the two machines and brought them into stock on 10 August.

Both of the ballast regulators have been sold to WO Trackworks in South Africa. The machines were loaded at our yard on 4 September and taken to the Port of Brisbane and packed on flat racks, the machines, including spare parts, are now on their way to Cape Town, South Africa.

Work carried out includes:

  • Electrician installation of new batteries, check of all wiring and components, start the engines and run
  • Clean ready for shipping
  • Assist with the loading of machines and spare parts
