Jeffrey Stevens

Jeffrey Stevens was named division manager of ENSCO’s applied technology and engineering division, effective 1 October. He will also serve as director of ENSCO Rail and ENSCO Rail Australia Pty, wholly owned subsidiaries of ENSCO.

"Mr Stevens has extensive experience in the rail industry, having worked in our rail group in various capacities for many years," said Paul Broome, executive chairman of the board.

"He brings an inherent understanding of the technology as well as the needs of our governmental and commercial rail customers, and is adept at meeting those needs."

Mr Stevens has been with ENSCO for 13 years, serving in a variety of technical and leadership roles, most recently as director of commercial business operations for the applied technology and engineering division. He has also held positions as an applications developer, project manager and product manager.

Mr Stevens has worked with and managed technical teams that developed and implemented several industry-changing technologies, including autonomous track inspection systems, enterprise web-based track inspection and maintenance management systems, joint bar and concrete tie inspection services, as well as automated rail vehicle location technologies. Prior to joining ENSCO, he worked as an applications developer and project manager in the police / fire / rescue and public utility industries.

An active member of the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance of Way Association, Mr Stevens has served as a subcommittee chair of Committee 2 Track Measuring Systems. He received his bachelor’s degree in cartography from Ohio University.
