Krasnoyarsk Machine-Building Components Ltd (KMC) designs, develops and produces innovative interior systems for public transport railway vehicles.

KMC provides full services for interior systems such as subway and railway cars, light rail, and passenger vehicles. Services include analysis of a customer’s technical requirements for the interior, concept formation, zoning, and design, as well as developmental work.

We create internal specifications for our systems and carry out process engineering and preproduction before our interiors are prototyped, manufactured and assembled. The complete process is supervised and monitored by our team.

Interior components for railway vehicles

KMC is customer-oriented company and adheres to the required standards for modern business seating for the railway industry.

We employ an integrated approach in the development of railway vehicle interiors using the latest materials and technologies, as well as design, ergonomic and ecology requirements. Our focus is on providing tailor-made solutions for industry suppliers and clients.

We have provided systems such as ventilation and dust protection, doors, soundproof and fireproof partitions, as well as ceilings and integrated ceiling of vestibules for more than 2,000 passenger railway vehicles since 2003.

Other KMC products equipped on train carriages include artificial and natural lighting systems, wall beds, luggage racks, and interior furnishings. Large-scale aluminium profile constructions and systems can also be provided, in addition to complex interiors with integrated lifecycle support solutions.

Railway interior product development and manufacture

KMC focuses on research and development, as well as the manufacture of components and complex exteriors. Interior projects have been carried out on tram and metro services in cities such as Warsaw in Poland, Kiev in Ukraine, and St Petersburg, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, and Minsk in Russia.

We have completed more than 24 railway vehicle building projects, including saloon ceilings with built-in lighting and ventilation, sliding and swing doors, and original handrails.

Throughout the product engineering process, KMC continuously develops its own technologies to provide optimal solutions. This includes non-ferrous metals, polymers and composites, as well as fixed joints of various materials used such as aluminium, titanium and stainless-steel.

Industry-certified train interior components

Staff perform work certified by the Russian National Agency on Welding Control (NAKS). The welding coordinator is certified by ISO 14731 and KMC welders work in accordance with ISO 9606.

The gluing process is carried out based on DIN6701, and the complete manufacture of profiles, including design and production, is developed with each customised order.

KMC’s high-quality products are created according to ISO 9001-2008 and ISO 14001-2007 standards. Complex systems are developed in order to remove errors and inaccuracies from the beginning of the project up to its final installation.

We have collaborated with PK Transport Systems, KraMZ, and RUSAL on the development of the first integrated railway interior system based on aluminium in Russia.
