ABSOPULSE Electronics has recently released the RWY 35-P30, a 35W addition to its extensive line of fully encapsulated DC-DC converters designed for railway rolling stock and extreme environment applications.
The RWY 35-P30 units accept inputs of 24Vdc, 36Vdc, 48Vdc, 72Vdc, 96Vdc or 110Vdc with wide EN50155 input ranges. The converters provide any single regulated output voltage from 5Vdc to 110Vdc. Custom input and output voltages are available on request. Conversion efficiency is up to 90%.
The converters are fully encapsulated with a thermally conductive MIL-grade silicon rubber compound which ensures uniform heat dissipation and protection from high levels of shock and vibration. This also provides protection from moisture, dust and other contaminants. Conduction cooling enables operation over a -40°C to 70°C temperature range for full specification.
The RWY 35-P30 units meet the requirements of EN50155, as well as EN50121-3-2, EN61000-4-2, EN61000-4-3, EN61000-4-4, and EN61000-4-6. Other protection features include 3000Vdc input-output isolation, reverse polarity protection, overload protection and current limiting.
