ContiTech suspension lab

ContiTech will be presenting its suspension systems for rail vehicles at the NT Expo 2013, the largest railway trade fair in Latin America, in São Paulo, Brazil, from 5-7 November, 2013 (Red Pavilion, Booth I 05).

The systems manufacturer’s presentation will focus above all on ultramodern air spring systems for secondary suspension and spring systems for primary suspension. MEGI® brand springs and buffers will also be on display to the trade public.

By using high-quality materials and material combinations, ContiTech’s air spring and suspension systems satisfy the most stringent requirements in terms of safety, comfort, speed, and vehicle noise reduction while increasing the economic efficiency of freight and passenger transport.

Furthermore, ContiTech’s broad sales network also guarantees rail vehicle operators service around the world. Whether in Brazil, the UK, or China, ContiTech’s fitters and service partners can get anywhere in the world within just a short space of time to support operators and manufacturers alike.

"Our global dealer network allows us to provide replacement parts rapidly for the purpose of repair work," said Andreas Hass, head of sales at ContiTech Railway Engineering.

ContiTech uses its own employees as well as dealers for this; together with their teams, they can get anywhere in the world within a very short space of time. The company is constantly expanding this network and regularly provides further training to engineers.

ContiTech Railway Engineering has at its disposal the world’s only test lab for rail vehicle air spring systems in Hanover, Germany, underlining its high quality standards. Twelve testing procedures that are important for the rail industry have been accredited to DIN EN ISO / IEC 17025. With certification to ISO 9001, TS 16949, and IRIS, the test laboratory has been fulfilling top requirements for many years.
