After 25 years of successful collaboration, Tensar International and CONTECH Construction Products have mutually agreed that Tensar will take on distribution responsibility for geogrid products in the US.

Under the terms of the agreement and effective 2 May 2011, Tensar International will assume CONTECH’s
geogrid distribution business, which includes exclusive distribution of both biaxial and triaxial geogrid products in the US. The joint decision to modify the long-term distribution alliance comes as a result of strategic
initiatives both companies are pursuing in their respective markets.

Tensar International has expanded its portfolio of soil and pavement solutions over the past few years. With these
new products Tensar International, the global leader in soil stabilisation products and solutions, has undertaken to
consolidate and streamline its distribution channels to more directly serve its markets.

“Tensar International now delivers complete solutions including materials, engineering, technical assistance and specifications,” said Robert Vevoda, president. “We have developed extensive field sales and support capabilities so that we can work more closely with the customers and specifiers who use our solutions. We will continue to build our field organisation to maintain our current high level of support for our customers throughout the US.”

“Over the past few years, CONTECH has gained significant traction in our core business and is recognised today
as one of the premier providers of engineering solutions to the commercial, residential, industrial, heavy highway
and emerging markets,” stated Steve Spanagel, CONTECH’s president of sales and field marketing.

“We have recently made investments to build out our product portfolio to go after new and emerging growth markets such as military, mining, wind and energy, and have established several new alliances that will position us for long-term success, both domestically and abroad. While we have enjoyed a successful relationship with Tensar for decades, our company and customers would be best served by allocating resources focused on these new market
opportunities. We will be working very closely with Tensar to ensure this transition is seamless to the customer
and have no doubt they will continue to receive excellent products and services moving forward,” Mr Spanagel said.
