DC/DC converters for rail applications
MINMAX converters are available for DC battery bus voltages of 24VDC, 36VDC, 48VDC, 72VDC, 96VDC, and 110VDC. Converters are also provided for output voltages of 5VDC, 12VDC, 15VDC, 24VDC, ±12VDC, and ±15VDC.
MINMAX power converters conform to the railway DC input-voltage range and brief variation requirements in accordance with EN50155 certification.

Testing for voltage isolation, vibration, and shock and bump is approved to EN61373 requirements. Cooling, dry, and damp heat levels are approved to IEC-EN 60068-2-1, 60068-2-2, and 60068-2-30 test requirements, as well as the EMC railway standards in EN50121-3-2.
Advanced circuit topology provides efficiency of up to 93%, which allows for a baseplate temperature of around 105°C and a minimum of 3,000VAC input to output isolation with reinforced insulation.
Converters are protected against overload, overvoltage and short-circuiting. They are approved to the EN45545-2 standards for fire protection to ensure system safety. Other features include remote power control and voltage output trim and sense.

The MINMAX product range includes railway-certified power solutions with the 3W to 75W DC/DC converters in the DIP / 2in × 1in / Quarter Brick packages and ultra-high isolation power solutions with the 1W to 20W DC/DC converters in the SIP / DIP / 2in × 1in packages among others for medical safety power solutions.

Safe railway power supplies
DC/DC converters have a vacuum-sealed packaging and use UL94V-0 grade sealants. All MINMAX railway-certified power modules are evaluated based on the final test results of the fire safety index parameter to ensure safe railway operation.
The 3,000VAC isolation voltage with reinforced insulation and vacuum-seal creates a solid electrical barrier to protect sensitive circuit load from excess energy hazards. This ensures safety in the long-term operation of railway equipment.
Energy-saving DC/DC converters
