HEIDENHEIM – The TurboFLEXX transmission is one of the new developments of the Voith Turbo market area rail. It is a highly modular transmission for locomotives; after delivery it can be adapted to different engine outputs or changed operating conditions.

The TurboFLEXX transmission is available for outputs from 1,200kW to 1,800kW. Higher maximum trailer loads on ascending routes, high tractive effort and significantly improved efficiencies are further advantages of the transmission. The first ten transmissions will be delivered to Vossloh Locomotives GmbH by March 2008.

The new TurboFLEXX transmission will be installed into a further development of the central cab locomotive types G 1206 and G 1700 of Vossloh Locomotives.
