Axiomtek’s DIN-rail 6 Isolated COM Fanless Ruggedized Embedded System for Power Utility – rBOX101

Axiomtek’s DIN-rail 6 Isolated COM Fanless Ruggedized Embedded System for Power Utility – rBOX101

Axiomtek announces the new release of rBOX101 DIN-rail fanless ruggedised embedded system with extra low power Intel Atom processors Z510PT (1.1 GHz) and Z520PT (1.33 GHz) with Intel US15WPT chipset. To withstand extreme range of working temperatures, this durable unit can perform in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +70°C.

To fulfill different application needs, the rBOX101 comes with complete expandability, including up to six isolated COM ports (rBOX101-6COM) / four isolated COM ports (rBOX101-4COM), two isolated Ethernet ports, one isolated DIO (rBOX101-6COM), two USB 2.0 ports, one VGA output and one CompactFlash socket for great data communication and expansion capability.

The robust DIN-rail system has a compact form factor and IP30 housing, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor industrial applications, such as power plant automation, facility monitoring systems, intelligent transportation systems and much more.

"Equipped with up to six isolated COM ports, IP30 housing, wide operating temperature range and Safety/EMI/EMS compliance, Axiomtek rBOX101 is ideal for intelligent computing and communication solution in critical environments," said Eric Chiang, product manager of product and marketing division at Axiomtek.

"This ready-to-run computing system comes with AXView monitoring software package is a total solution. Based on SNMP protocols, intelligent AXView makes it easy for system administrators to manage and monitor remote computers."

Isolated port design
To prevent ESD and over-voltage, this compact-size unit is equipped with isolated RS-232/422/485 ports, isolated Ethernet ports and isolated DIO port for offering magnetic isolation protection.

Safety and EMI compliance
The IP30-rated rBOX101 meets Safety Agency requirements and has passed heavy industrial EMI/EMS testing to provide high operational reliability and stability.

Intelligent AXView and SNMP V1/V2c
The rBOX101 features SNMP V1/V2c support for secured network management. To streamline implementation of management applications, Axiomtek has launched exclusive "AXView" monitoring software package for customers to build their own management systems easily and quickly. Axiomtek AXView also contains a variety of easy-to-use management utilities, agent services and libraries.

Other features
rBOX101’s front accessible I/O cabling is convenient for wiring and maintenance. In addition, it comes equipped with two power paths and 12 – 48VDC power input with a terminal block. Pre-installed with Linux, Windows CE 6.0 or Windows XP Embedded, the rBOX101 provides programmers with a friendly environment for developing application software at a lower cost. To fit various application requirements, the rBOX101 can be DIN-rail mounted.

The robust rBOX101 with intelligent AXView package will be available in the end of October 2011. We also have AMD-based solution, the rBOX201, will be available soon.
