Innovative Parts and Solutions

Innovative Parts and Solutions (IPS) announced a major expansion of its manufacturing facilities in Maple Ridge, British Columbia. A new 23,000ft² (2,140m²) building is currently under construction with an expected completion date of 4th quarter 2016.

IPS president Kim Molby provided the following statement: "In response to the growing demand for IPS tools, parts and equipment globally, we are building a new manufacturing facility adjacent to our existing operations.

"This expansion will increase our fabricating capacity, allow us to repair and service rail maintenance-of-way (MOW) equipment, and have additional space dedicated for stocking our MOW parts and component inventory. We expect the new facility will be fully operational in the 4th quarter of 2016."

The new facility will be fully equipped with overhead cranes, modern CNC and fabrication equipment, and rail tracks into the building to facilitate repairs of large rail equipment.

Fast response to customers’ urgent requirements has been a key element to the company’s growth and success. The company has a mandate to process, package and ship out Canadian in-stock part orders within 24 hours.

IPS began operations in 1975, and over 40 years has grown to become a world-class designer and supplier of railway tools, parts and equipment.
