ENSCO Rail, an international leader in advanced rail technology solutions for passenger, transit and freight markets, will be participating in the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-Way Association (AREMA) 2016 Annual Conference and Exposition. The event takes place in Orlando, US, from August 28-30.

ENSCO will be exhibiting in Booth 226 and showcasing technology and expertise in autonomous track inspection, machine vision, track asset management and decision support, and track inspection systems. In the booth, ENSCO will demonstrate the new RailScan Lite-Track Geometry Measurement System (RSL-TGMS) which measures full track geometry from a standard size high-rail vehicle. The system is operated by a single laptop using ENSCO Rail’s GeoEdit 8 software, which has been updated to a simpler and more intuitive user interface to aid in usability and efficiency.

ENSCO personnel will be presenting two technical papers, highlighting research and projects conducted on behalf of the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), and GO Transit. The papers are

  • Assessment of Manufactured Rail Seat Deterioration Detection Using FRA DOTX 218 authored by Jacinda Clemenzi, ENSCO and Hugh Thompson, FRA.
  • GO Transit’s Comprehensive Hi-rail-based Track Inspection Vehicles authored by Jeffrey A. Bloom, ENSCO Rail, and Sandeep Malhotra and Rick Maltby with GO Transit

The AREMA Conference & Exposition boasts the largest audience within the railway engineering industry, drawing more than 3,500 railway engineering professionals from all segments of the industry, including track, structures, passenger / transit, maintenance, engineering services and communications / signals.
