TE Connectivity unveils new products for the railway industry at InnoTrans 2014.

At InnoTrans 2014 in Berlin, Germany, TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity, will be highlighting its latest application-focused solutions for the railway industry, including contactless connectors, a connectivity revolution.

From 23 – 26 September, visitors to Hall 10.1, Booth 222 are invited to see how TE’s decades of experience in the rail industry can help customers achieve greater efficiency and reliability in train and trackside applications, both today and in the future.

A highlight at the booth is the preview of its innovative ‘contactless connectivity’ solution, smart connectivity that allows more freedom in design and brings new benefits for the railway industry.

Helping customers meet regulatory requirements, TE has added a number of new powerful wire and cable products to its already broad EN45545 compliant product range, which will be on display at InnoTrans 2014.

See those products and more, including:

  • FXP Traction Connector, which reduces installation and maintenance times
  • RSTI 68 Roofline Connector, the latest stress-control technology from TE

With significant global experience in addressing the sector’s connectivity, safety and manufacturing challenges, TE Connectivity currently offers the broadest portfolio of solutions to address the needs of train companies, engineers and passengers.

The company strengthened its commitment to the rail industry with the acquisition of DEUTSCH in 2012, and is set to partner with a leading global designer of sensors and sensor-based systems.

"TE Connectivity supports railway customers by focusing on safety, reliability and innovation, backed by decades of experience and a deep understanding of applications," says Wesley Gilbert, marketing head for rail at TE.

"Our objective is to provide each customer with an extraordinary experience – and at InnoTrans our team of railway experts is ready to talk business."

"We are well-placed to support the increasing trend toward localised manufacturing within the industry, with global locations and a presence in new and emerging markets. We are also excited to bring a future view to application development, which we believe can be achieved through close customer relationships and engineering collaboration."
