Audio visual passenger information systems consist of control parts, display, inside and side information boards and public address systems. Information boards are located in each passenger saloon and are connected to a CAN bus.

The system displays and announces the next stop, destination and emergency situations. It can also provide other information, such as connecting lines of integrated transport systems. Messages are provided manually or automatically according to the current position of the train.

Wi-Fi technology allows data download from Czech Railways database both for information systems and for timetable updates. It can also be used to download data for maintenance purposes.

Producer of DMUs, Pars Nova, has signed a contract with Czech Railways to create up to 130 Regionova DMUs between 2006 and 2008.
