For the Polish National Railways, DYSTEN adapted the railway public address (PA) system to the suit the ‘Guidelines on the executive elements of the Central Dynamic Passenger Information System and the accompanying infrastructure – IPI 6’.

The PA system can emit voice messages automatically generated by the Central Application for Dynamic Passenger Information Control of PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. and broadcasted locally by operators or supervisors.

In the last implementation, DYSTEN has installed a railway public address system on the Trzebinia-Krzeszowice section on the route from Krakow to Katowice. The PA system for four stations has been equipped with a broadcast system controller (audio decoder), amplifiers, more than 120 loudspeakers, and a local microphone panel. The railway public address system covers the area of platforms along their entire length and width, passenger stations, and access routes to the platforms.

The works were performed under the project ‘Modernization of the E30 railway line, section Zabrze – Katowice – Kraków, stage IIb’. The project is co-financed by the European Union under the EU’s Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) financial instrument. The investment guarantees the technical conditions required on international lines and ensured efficient passage of international, long-distance, regional, and agglomeration passenger trains and freight trains.
